Cannot double click a document to open.

When I double click on a document it does not open.
However, if I go to File/Open and navigate to the document
it will open fine. This happens on several computers in my
network. As well, when I restart the computer it works
fine for a while then reverts to this behavior? Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Check the file type associations in Explorer.

Hi Jim,

To recreate the file association go to Start/Run and run:

winword /r

Note the space before the forward slash.
