Cannot dowload pictures in Outlook 2007

We have a copmuter which has lost the ability to be able to choose to
download graphics in HTML formatted mail. I have add the source as safe, to
Trusted Sites, and even deleselected "Don't download pictures automatically"
in Trust Center. This computer is running Vista 64 bit, with Office 2007 Pro.
Other machines with similar configuration correctly display the option to
allow picture downloads.

Do you want the pictures downloaded automatically or do you want to choose
with each message?

We have the same issue with Outlook 2007. The html email does not show the
images in the reading pane, nor in the message body when opened. The there
is only plain text shown. This is a new development. The Outlook did allow
the download and display of all images in the page content up until about 4
weeks ago. Can this be remedied, to allow download and automatic visual
display of all images in the email message?

Anyone come across a fix for this?

I have the same issue, Vista x64 Enterprise
Office 2007 Ultimate

turning off the security in Trust Center, the placeholders are there, but no
visible picture. If I received a message with a picture, I have to
copy/paste image from Outlook to Word, there I can see all of the pictures,

I can't paste my own picture into a new email and be able to see it.

I had the same problem. Just empty white boxes where the images were supposed
to be. But I found the answer to it on the net. It seems I selected an option
and never bothered to read what it was for (silly me).

It is the Show Picture Placeholders option.
The description for it says "Display an empty box in place of each graphic
in the document to improve scrolling performance"

If you have the same problem, do the following:

Create a New email, click the Office Button in the top left, choose the
Editor Options button at the bottom right, select Advanced, scroll down to
the "Display email content" section and make sure there is no tick next to
the "Show Picture Placeholders" option.

Try it. It worked for me right now :)

FYI, I was having the same issue and this setting was not set for me. Out of
curiosity, I checked the box, applied the setting and then went back and
unchecked the box and applied the setting and it fixed the problem!

I've done that but the reading pane never fixes. If I open individual emails
(by double clicking on them) they load graphics properly.

Once I close Outlook 2007 and reopen it, they box is checked again. My
un-checking the box won't stick. Is there a registry setting I could force
while outlook is closed to fix this?

Thank you,
Paul
