You did not say what version of office your using but if its XP or 2003 try
the following
If you installed it then you may be requiring activation
use the activate by phone method and it will provide a number to call MS
Remember if it is OEM version which will be label not for resale etc....It
has to be reinstalled on the same pc
If you had to format and are using retail copies they have limitations on
how many pcs you can install them on
