Hi,

I have created an MS Query against a database using Open Links iODBC framework as the driver.

All works fine, can refresh, with the occassional crash as I seem to have to live with using Microsoft.

The biggest issue aside from the crashing is I cannot edit the query. Ever.

Anyone have experience on this?

What happens when you select a cell in the data range and then click the
Edit Query button on the External Data toolbar?

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the response, sorry about coming in late on a reply, too busy.

OK, to answer your Q...

I first get dialog box asking me to login to SequeLink service (I am accessing a Filemaker Pro DB using iODBC from OpenLink for Excel ODBC driver, and SequeLink from Filemaker for FMP ODBC driver).

I enter account and login and receive "Could not establish connection."

Now the funny thing is, if I do some applescript I can see the SQL, and the ODBC string, and so forth, just that I cannot edit it via MS query anymore.

It is interesting that the sequence when creating the query is a little different than when trying to edit the query, almost like MS Query is not following the same steps.
