Cannot edit Public Contacts that have previously been created

M

Michael Dedman

I am using Outlook 2000, and our server runs Small Business Server 2000.

I have just taken over from someone, and I have been given the job of
editing all of the Public Contacts in Outlook that were created by the
last person. Although I can create new contacts under Public Contacts,
I cannot edit the ones that are already there - I get a permissions error !

On the server, in the Exchange System Mangager \ Server \ First Store
Group, I right-clicked on "Public Folder Store" and chose properties,
but under the "Security" tab, I have full rights. Both the server and
workstation have been restarted but to no avail.

Any suggestions would be great.

Try checking the client permissions on the folder in Outlook, on the
folder's Properties dialog.
