Cannot Edit Visio drawing in Word Doc

Help, I have done a report using Visio 2003 and Word 2002, (company standard
issue) and cannot open the drawing to make minor changes. I get an "Cannot
find object or object corrupt' error msg. I had no trouble creating the doc
and editing w/in over the course of several days last month. Also tried to
cut and paste drawing back into Visio and get, "word was unable to write some
of the embedded objects due toinsufficient memory or disk space." Word is @
SP3 and Visio @ SP1. Any ideas pls.....

can you open the source file directly with visio (maybe the link is broken
or the file has moved).

No I cannot, is there a link if the drawing was pulled from one doc to Visio,
modified and pasted into a new one?? When double-clicking the drawing I would
get Visio and be able to edit, but cannot now... The files was emailed to
another team member and sent back, but we are all on the same app versions...

If it helps I was just told the original 'template' used to start the drawigs
was done under Visio 2K...

can the person it was sent to still open it, maybe it was corrupted in
coming back?

I don't know - he is no longer with the company. I re-drew the diagrams and
got the report in on time but it sure was no fun. Thanks for everyone's
attention. Will be back if the problem rears its head again...
