Cannot edit Word docs or Excel workbooks

Windows XP and Office Small busines. Can open a Word doc or Excel Spreadsheet but cannot edit, add or save. Can send files to another pc via email and they work fine on those pc's. Please Help!!

Is this an activation issue? It sounds like the problem computer's version
of Office might be in limited functionality mode. Choose Help - Activate
Product. What does it say?

Thanks, I thought that might be the problem. Activated Office and it works great! Thanks
