Cannot Empty Clipboard Error when pasting graphs as pictures

Hi,

I am getting the following error while working in Excel 2000 "Cannot Empty
Clipboard Error" when pasting graphs as pictures.

It is important for me to paste graphs as pictures and I have not found any
workaround for this. I have also clsoed the Office Clipboard, so the
WIndows Clipboard would be used.

Please help me on this, TIA.

You may not be able to paste an item in an Office 2003 program after
you connect to a Windows Server 2003-based server that is running
Terminal Server

Though not directly for your version maybe this applies as well for
your situation!

Hi Frank,

Nopes that didnt help.

There is no getright on my system and I do not have terminal server running.
Does this have something to do with memory??

Also this is not a reproducible error as such and happens randomly. I have
noticed in particular that when the combined memory usage of the excel
instances hits about 100 MB or it stops working and there is no CPU
utilization indicated for quite sometime indicating that the application has
hung.

I changed the clipboard settings according to one KB artcile so that the
Windows clipboard is always used instead of the Office clipboard. This
seemed to work fine for sometmie but since then the issue has reappeared.

Any suggestions???
