cannot empy clipboard

I have not been able to empy the clipboard in either word or wordpad.
Therefore I cannot copy and paste. Every time I have tried to paste what I
thought I had copied, it pastes "hello" That is all. I cannot clear the
clipboard. When I view it and click "delete" it looks for a second like it
has deleted, then "hello" pops up again. This happens in Word and wordpad too.

Boy, this sure sounds like a virus. Have you run a virus scan (with an
up-to-date virus dat file)?
