I'm having the same problem. I did everything that was recommended, but I

Only you know exactly what you did. Tell us. Start by telling us every thing that's in your mail profile.

Here's an added kink in the situation... I can download my mail, including
all of my Hotmail folders; I can read the mail and delete it, although this
process is very slow and there is a "report rendering problem" attached to
the top of each email.
But I still cannot send anything without that message popping up.

Okay, within my data file that is within my Data Files: Hotmail Linda
KHotmail-00000001.pst and Settings\ etc. Under E-mail Accounts, I list
Hotmail wich is an HTTP (send from this account by default) and a gmail
account listed below, which is a POP/SMTP file. The Hotmail\Inbox in data
file C:\Documents and Settings\...\Outlook\Linda etc.

In Profiles/General are listed two profiles. One is under my name,
properties listed then are e-mail accounts and Data files, which correspond
to the above information.

The second profile is for the Send/Receive file, which includes the
properties under e-mail accounts as my actual email address followed by
"Http(send from this account by default) Under Data files are listed my
e-mail address and a Personal Folders. For the first, the filename is
SendRR(my email)-com=00000002.pst in C:\Documents and... and for the latter's
filename, it's Outlook3.pst in C"\Documents and Settings\ etc.

I know I am just spilling everything out here that I can find, but I'd
rather be guilty of giving you too much info rather than not enough. Hope
that this is, indeed, enoug to get me going via e-mail.

Thanks!

I have no idea what you mean by that. Each Outlook mail profile operates independently. Which profile are you actually using? And what do you mean by "my actual email address"

Maybe you should start over and create a third profile with just your Gmail POP3 account in it. Then at least we'll know what we're dealing with.

Is yours a paid Hotmail account? Outlook no longer supports the free accounts.
