Cannot get alternate port in IMAP configuration to stick

I am configuring Entourage to for Exchange. It is using IMAP and a
different port than the default. I check to change the port and exit
the configuration screen. I try to connect and it fails. Go back to
the configuration screen and it is unchecked. Is there a way to set
this in a script?

It could be a corruption in your database. You might want to:
- make sure Entourage is as much to date as possible (download section
in <http://www.mactopia.com>)
- launch Entourage pressing the alt key down. This will trigger the
database utility offering you to rebuild it. Check your rules and
mailing list manager afterwards - especially is you have an Exchange
account. For Exchange accounts, categories are lost in the process :-\
