In Outlook 2002, when I use a .bmp or .jpg as my signature, it looks fine in
the Tool>email format>signature editing area, and also on the Insert
Signature picklist, but when inserted into my email document I get the "can't
display image" picture - roughly
_______
| |x| where the x is red.
| ¯
If I load the signature into (e.g.) Paint, cut and paste it into my email,
it looks fine, but that's a real nuisance when the product *apparently* can
handle images as signatures.
Note that I use the Outlook internal editor to compose messages, compose
mostly in HTML, and would prefer NOT to use an external editor (especially
not MS-Word which is getting impossibly slow to load on my machine).
Am I missing some little step? a old patch? or does this just not work?
