Cannot get hyperlinks to work on new documents added to existing s

Dear all

A few weeks ago I created the first release of our website. I now want to go
in and make some updates - add some news items, add some new product sheets
etc etc. For the life of me I cannot get any hyperlinks to any new document -
however I can get hyperlinks working on documents that were created in the
first revision a few weeks ago. Example - I have a section for News on the
homepage - I have gone into the panel and added a new headline on the home
page and then tried to link that to the Case Study I am referring to - the
text underlines (i.e. it looks as though the hyperlink has been added) but
when you click (in the preview) nothing happens. I have tested many different
permutations and can get links working to documents created when I built the
first revision. I am trying to link to PDF's and to Word docs saved as .html,
nothing seems to work. If anyone can help I would be really grateful
