Cannot Hear Audio when playing a PPT 2003 Presention in PPT 2007

My instructor created a class lectures in PPT 2003. Each slide has
corresponding audio which I cannot hear while viewing the presentation on my
Vista laptop using either PPT 2007 or PPT 2003 viewer. I am able to view the
same lectures with no audio issues on my XP desktop using PPT 2003.

- The lectures are downloaded from the class website (not sure if this is
important info.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
