Cannot import saved mail and settings

During an attempt to fix a MSupdate problem, MS had me resstore my computer
and gave me instructions on how to save my Outlook messages, address es and
mail.

However, the file that has the inbox on it keeps giving me a cyclic
redundancy error. When I try to copy to the desktop I get the same error.
When I take the cd to another computer I get an error that the disk cannot be
read. Help! The messages are critical and have to be gotten back. Any
suggestions?

I did the chkdsk fix on the cd already.

The pst has to be located on the hd, with read only property off. Do NOT
overwrite any existing pst. In OL File>Open>Data File (pst) and browse to
location.
Do not import
If you still get an error, try inbox repair tool, scanpst.exe, if that fails
it likely means whatever process you used to copy it corrupted the pst

Sounds like the CD is damaged especially since you've also tried it on
another system. You can try IsoBuster to take a raw view at the CD.
