When trying to insert a file (any file) into an outgoing email (either text
or html) with Outlook 2000 SP3 under WinXP Home SP2, Outlook displays the
message "could not open one or more attachments". However, the attachment is
generated; it cannot be seen by the sender but is transmitted to the email
recipient. The problem started after a hard-drive replacement. I have seen
the KB 918165 discussion - not relevant. I have turned off all antivirus
scanning.
