cannot insert powerpoint slide without sizing issues

I have a single powerpoint slide of a flowchart. I want to insert this slide
into another powerpoint presentation but when I do, the contents of the
flowchart slide overflow badly when trying the "reuse slides" method. The
contents are not spaced correctly (they are bigger) and do not fit inside the
new slide of the presentation.

I have checked the "keep source formatting" box but this does not help. I
do not know if the master slide is somehow messing with the formatting. Is
is possible to insert this one slide without the master affecting it? The
flowchart slide just needs to be on a blank slide background.

Sounds odd. Have you tried copy/pasting the slide? Or just the flowchart?
Are the two slide shows set up with the same slide size in the page setup
dialogue box? And what version are you using? Oh, and what version was the
flowchart created in?

Thanks for the reply. Copying and pasting the slide worked better. It seems
that when I chose New Slide-->Reuse Slide, the "Keep source formatting"
option was not working properly. However when I copied and pasted, the "Keep
source formatting" worked better. I believe the slide being copied was
PowerPoint 2003 while I was using PowerPoint 2007.

Glad to hear it's working a bit better - the re-use slide does seem to be a
bit flaky a times :). If you are still having some problems I would
definitely give just copy/pasting the flowchart itself a go. Oh, and as you
mentioned you are using 2007 you may want to have a look at using this test
printer driver just to be sure that your current one isn't causing any
issues (I know this sounds weird but 'bad' printer drivers cause the oddest
issues. Honestly):
