Cannot insert word document in Visio Error 2

I am not able to insert or paste a new word document or view an existing word document in Visio 2000 (I have office 2000). I can only link word documents, not embed or even paste them into Visio. I can embed with any other Insert-Object selection, this only happens with Word. If I open a file that has a word document already embedded in it I only get a blank box with an X inside it. If I try to Paste a word document I get an out of memory error. If I try to embed a word document I get and ole server error.

Any ideas, I have tried everything and still no resolution to the problem.
