Cannot install due to beta

I am attempting to install Office 2007 Professional on a computer which had
the Beta 2 TR on it. I get the error that it cannot upgrade a prerelease
version with the new one, and to uninstall the prerelease version.
I uninstalled every Beta 2007 product from add/remove programs and renamed
OFFICE12 in Program Files/Office to OFFICE12OLD which i would suspect should
effectively declare it non existant.
I have not made changes to the registry, i assume the uninstaller should
have done this.
What do i have to do to install the new version? Look through the registry?

Open my RTM issues page linked below and find the topic for your error
message. I'd bet you forgot the PDF/XPS add-in or an Expression Web
beta.
Renaming OFFICE12 to OFFICE12OLD doesn't do anything. Windows looks in
the registry when determining whether Office 2007 is installed or not.
If you want to remove Office 2007 manually, see the manual removal steps
linked from the same page as well. I suggest though that you rename it
back to OFFICE12 before you go into Add/Remove Programs again to remove
the last pieces of B2TR.
