I received the Office Small Business Management Edition 2006 CDs after
attending a Microsoft Event. I currently have Office Professional 2003 SP2
installed on my PC running Windows XP SP2 and all runs fine.
When I run setup on Disc 1, I'm given the options to Add Features or
Repair/Reinstall or Uninstall. I understand that the products are still
named 2003 (except for Small Business Accounting 2006) within SBM, but I
don't know why I can't find a reference to the accounting piece. Must I
uninstall Office Pro 2003 before using these CDs?
BTW, when I insert CD #2, I'm give a message: "Another version of this
product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue.
To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove
Programs on the Control Panel." This, of course, takes me to the same
Add/Repair/Uninstall screen and is where I got the idea that perhaps I need
to uninstall. But it seems more likely to me that the CD is not being read
properly. Any thoughts, suggestions, similar experiences?
TIA,
