Cannot install SP3 pack for Office 2000. Message saying DATA1 is.

When I try to install the SP3 update I get a message saying that I need to
inset my Office Disks. But when I inset the first disk and select the
installation file DATA1.MSI I get another message saying that this is not a
valid installation file for Microsoft Word SR1, please find the correct file.
However this is the file that I always use for my Office updates and all I
usually do is put the disk in, I don't even normally have to find the file.

Hi, marenello,

It's probably looking for a Works disk. Did you have Works (with Word)
originally installed? If so, use that CD. DATA1.MSI exists in several
Office products. You can look at the Windows Control Panel's Add/Remove
Programs applet to see what Office programs are still installed.
