Cannot Install Windows Media Player Version 11

I can apparently download WMP version 11 but it will not successfully
install. Neither can I open my current version which I think is V10.

Media Player is not an Office application. Try posting your question in the
applicable newsgroup.

Try posting to one of the Windows or Windows Media Player forums, and be
sure to mention what version of Windows you have, as well as any error
messages or symptoms you're experiencing.
