This may be a Windows problem (running Windows ME) but I find that with
Access 2002 (SP3 recently applied):
- I can run (double click) a database file shortcut successfully but if I
try to run another instance of Access (differenct database) via a shortcut
the first instance hangs and has to have its task cancelled, and the second
never launches
- I can run multiple instances of Access if I launch shortcuts to
MSACCEES.EXE and then open the required databases from within the instances
- this is a recent install of 2002 (my old install of Access 97 which is
still on the machine can run multiple instance from shortcuts)
- the problem briefly went away when I appleid a few outstanding fixes from
Windows Update but it's back
Any thoughts on why the first laucn of Access via an mdb shortcut works okay
but subsequent launch attempts by shortcut lock up?
TIA
