Cannot log into incoming mail server

I get the following error when I click on send and receive.

Task 'Stingo - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The
connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact
your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I have searched on here for similar errors and followed the suggestions.:
- I have uninstalled all anti virus and spyware software.
- I have disabled XP firewall.
- I have reinstalled Outlook.
- I have setup an account in Outlook Express.
- I have thought about throwing my laptop through the window.
- I can send and receive to another domain without a problem.
- I can ping my mail.xxxxxx.co.uk domain but not the mail.stingo.co.za mail
domain. (stingo is the domain that I cannot log into)
- I can log into stingo.co.za webmail without a problem.

What haven't I tested? Any help is much appreciated.

I've now tried that and it does not appear to be working correctly. The +OK
and welcome message does not show, as described in the article you referred
to.

Sounds like it's an issue more basic than Outlook. Check with your ISP if
there's an issue with the server.

So there I was, about to do a laptop flotation test. I was also about to
commit myself to communicating by quill and tablet for the rest of my life. I
was going to donate my blank CD's to Charities-R-Us. I was about to give my
5.1/4 inch floppy drive to a museum, and out of the ether, an email arrives
from my ISP, via an excruciatingly slow web mail. It said: I've had this back
it looks like the reg company has changed the name servers....

Well wasn't that nice of them? Perhaps a little notice may have been in
order, along with a note saying what they were going to change their dns too.

I still cannot send and receive, but at least I can point a finger at some
unknown reg company. May their profits soar and their shareholders choke on
champagne and caviar.

Swimming naked, mid-Atlantic would be more fun, especially the bit where I
have to get used to a squadron of great white sharks seeing my marriage
tackle dangling in the tide.
