Cannot move emails between folders

My laptop crashed and corrupted Outlook 2007. Was able to recover most of
the information but lost contacts and calendar. No real problem as I was
able to import contacts from an old PST file. Ran the PST recovery tool and
aside from a few emails dropped in the wrong folder, it was OK.

Rebuilt the laptop and reinstalled Outlook. Tried to import emails from the
recovered Outlook Personal Folders and some imported but most didn't. Get a
message about missing parameters. I then renamed the outlook.pst file and
attached it to the new Outlook install. Can see the emails and open them in
the second PST file but not move them. Same error.

Both PST files are on my C:\ drive. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem, and this worked for me.

1) Imported all my pst files/ Backuped files into 1 data file/ pst file
2) Exported / Backed up the pst file
3) Ran the Scanpst tool on the new backup file - > Search for scanpst.exe
4) Created a new Outlook profile, this can be done from the control panel -

Mail - Show Profiles -> ......

5) imported the new backup file to the new profile
6) Confirmed all my data
7) Move / Sorted my data
8) Setup Email Account, Rules, other settings ......
9) Deleted old profile

Do not import a PST. Open it with File>Open>Outlook Data File if you expect
to get the data it contains intact. Importing always loses data.
