Cannot open Access database

Hi

I have been working on a database for the past year. While working on
this last week access listed a problem and created a backup and shut
down. When I restarted access and tried opening the original file or
the backup nothing seems to happen. The file and the backup is the same
size but both don't open.

Can anyone please help. I need the entire structure (i.e. tables,
queries, forms, reports, modules etc.) but not the data.

Thanks

Check the hints at http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm.

START WITH A NEW BACKUP! You may need it. Copy *both* your files to a
safe place before you start.

Access databases do become corrupt; sometimes they can be repaired, or
partially salvaged, and sometimes they cannot. Current tested backups
are only optional if you don't mind recreating the entire database
from scratch at a moment's notice. Good luck...
