Cannot open Access Database

I have installed both Access 97 and Access 2002 on my
computer and made sure to follow the instructions so I did
not get the license error. Access 97 works fine however,
when I open Access 2002 and try to open an existing
database or create a new one it give me an error "Cannot
open database created with previous version of your
application". At one point I also received an
error "Exptected version of the product was not found on
your system". I have completely uninstalled installed
Access 2002 ran the eraser2K.exe and re-istalled and still
get the same error. I have also run regedit making sure
that my Jet Key was correct
I have searched the knowledge base and do not know what
else to at this point
