cannot open Access

I have this problem but cannot find a solution. I checked
MS Knowledge base to no avail.

Whenever I start Access I get a message saying:

"An error occured and this feature is no longer
available. Would you like to install it?"

clicking yes I get another message:

"MS Access could not find the file System.mdw. This file
is required for statrup."

It is in the computer because I searched and found it.

I removed and reinstalled Office 2000 and delete
everything in the Registry that says MS Access and that
still does not solve it. I cannot open Access.

I an using Win 98 and Office 2000.

Any suggestion?

I don't know what happen on your computer

Access needs workgroup file to run it (system.mdw).
it can by found on Program Files\Common files\System.

If it not exist there go to another computer with access or runtime, find
the System.mdw file ther and copy it to your computer. Good luck
