Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Can anyone guide me how to recover some files on my Mac.

Problem is when I click on one of these files I get the message 'The file may be read-only, or you may be trying to access a read-only location, or the server the doc is stored is not responding.

I even cannot find these files in the Finder, and even worse they can not be found on my Time Machine, although backup was made on at least a weekly basis. I'm desperate, can somebody help me please.

Thank you.

You are not alone. I am having the exact same problem. I've uninstalled Office, reinstalled it and installed the updates and still getting the same error message.

The other Office applications seem to be working normally.

Help anyone? Please?

Thanks.

I am having the same problem. Also for Word for Mac documents, some PDF files, and even archival files (zip, etc). The problem began after I wiped my computer and installed Snow Leopard.

Help?
