Cannot open database diagrams

Hello

From an Access Project (*.adp) I try to open a database diagramm. I get the
error message
"Ungültige Klassenzeichenfolge"
and the diagram does not open. I can, however, open the same database
diagram from within the Enterprise Manager.

My Installation: Windows XP prof. (german), Office XP Developer (english)
with Access XP and SQL Server 2000 for Office XP Developer. Newest service
packs for all the mentioned products.

Whats wrong with my installation?
The same configuration, but with Windows 2000 prof. (german) did work.
