I am using Office XP/Windows ME and had a MAJOR system
disaster. I backed up all of my files on my second hard
drive, and after completely reinstalling my entire system
I was unable to open one set of word documents. The names
of these documents was originally saved in Cyrillic and
now they appear as ______ _________ ________.doc for
example. I am unable to open these files, as Word says
the file does not exist, check the spelling of the name.
I am unable to rename the file, also because it does not
exist, nor can I delete it. The file properties indicate
it properly the docs modification date, file size, etc.
and it does take up space on my disk. How can I open
these files (WordPad and NotePad have the same problems)
or if I can never open them again, how I can delete them?
