Cannot open documents from Office

Same problem regarding opening a docment. Downloaded updates then Office 'not
responding' after trying to open a document. Can only open documents from 'My
Computer'

FWIW, from the Microsoft side a new Knowledge Base Article (KBA) was
released on Apr 15th.
