Hi,
I'm trying to open a Visio 2003 file that has been embedded in a word 2003
file. It is displayed as an icon. When I double click on it, I get an error
message box with the following text:
"This object was created in visio the application is not available to open
this object. Make sure that the application is properly installed and that
it has not been deleted, renamed or removed".
The problem is that Office 2003 and Visio 2003 are both properly installed -
I suspect that there may be a registry or something that has corrupted - I've
tried doing a 'detect and repair' in both applications, but this does not
resolve it. I've searched the MS knowledgebase, there is an article relating
to this error, but it just advises a reinstall. I tried that as well, and it
worked during the initial install, but subsequently, it failed again after
exiting word and opening again. Does anyone have an angle on this one?
Many thanks
