Hello all, I am having a bear of a time trying to figure out how to
get Office X.1.3 and Office 2004 for Mac to open a workbook that was
created in Office XP on a PC. I have attempted exporting it out as
every single type of file that XP supports for it's exports and not a
single one can be opened in either Office X or 2004. I have installed
the various "upgrades" MS has available and still nothing. Any ideas
anyone? When I try to open the normal Excel file on the Apple, it goes
through reading the metafiles and then just doesn't go anywhere when
trying to open the file afterwards, no progress, just a constant busy
symbol until I either force-quit it or it crashes. When I exported as
Win95 format, the apple starts to open the file very slowly and
eventually just crashes out half way through opening the file. I have
attempted this on 4 different Apples with different configurations all
with the same results. HELP!!! Any help you could give would be MOST
appreciated.
