words below. A clue certainly, but it escapes me.
Re the absence of an error messsage, the file is not
visible, it does not appear under Window, and the file
name shown is Book 1.
I have attempted to open it both ways. They all "work"
until I enter the password and nothing happens.
Tools/Options/General/Ignore other applications is not
checked.
Yes, I have tried to open the file with its original
password, with its new password, and with possible
variants such as all caps, or other passwords I have used
on other files. ALL ATTEMPTS EXCEPT THAT WITH THE NEW
PASSWORD GIVE THE "The password you have entered is not
correct....." It suddenly strikes me that this is a
clue, but how to use it is beyond me.
