Cannot open form

Hi,

I had a problem accessing a form on a users shared C: drive directory from
another machine in the same domain. I was getting the message....

Insufficient Security Privilege

This form cannot be opened because it requests domain security level
and is only allowed restricted security level. Based on the information
in the form, the file should be located at
file:///(long path on host machine) in order to open with the correct
security level."

I changed the security settings to 'domain' etc but the problem remained.

It occured to me that the form had been published to the C drive on the host
machine, while the other machine was running it on a mapped (I) drive. So
it's possible this message was about the path missmatch rather then domain
security. So I published it again to a network drive which both machines have
access to.

It worked! Now both machines can open the forms ok

Except they can't run any queries. There is only one query on the form and
if they click it this error appears (after you click details).....

Cannot run the specified query.
Infopath cannot connect to the data source. Safety settings on this computer
prohibit accessing a data source on another domain.

All the machines (inc datasource) are in the same domain, but just in case I
enabled 'access data sources across domains' in IE. But both machines still
get this error. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated..I
thought this was going to be a 5 minute job but its taken ******* hours!

Cheers

Hi,

In the etc., you also tried full trust, right? Didn't work either?

Hi Frank,

Yes, I went into design mode, changed security to full trust and saved. When
they try to open the form with this setting they get....

Infopath cannot create a new blank form, Infopath cannot open. To fix this
problem, contact your system administrator

Just thought of something...do I need to re-publish the form after changing
security settings?

Thanks

Republished with the full trust setting but they still get the same error.....

One more thing:
If you don't want to deploy to each machine, you will need to look into
signing the form.
