cannot open .ft file

Hi ,

Our organisation has customer stisfaction form in .oft format that need to
be sent to users in the mail to give there format. In recent times users
are not able to open the forms.

I learn from a microsoft KB that recent servicepack of office 2003 does not
support send .oft files over the mail.

Is there any other way to reach this form to users so that they can open it
properly give theire feed back.

Note: we cannot change the format of the form from .oft to other form as it
is organisational wide used.

You can still send .oft files in the mail. They just may take a few extra steps for users to work with them. If the .oft file has custom fields, as a survey normally would, the recipient will need to save the ..oft attachment as a file, then open it with the Tools | Forms | Choose Form command.

Ideally, if this is a form for internal use and you're using Exchange as your mail server, you'd want to publish the form to the Organizational Forms library.

FYI, there is a newsgroup specifically for Outlook forms issues "down the hall" at microsoft.public.outlook.program_forms or, via web interface, at http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...spx?dg=microsoft.public.outlook.program_forms
