Cannot open global template

I have created a new appsadmin group on my projectserver for administrative
users who are handling tasks related to application only. I have disabled all
the user/resource permission associated to it. However i am unable to open
global template with it. I have allowed read and save enterprise global
template permission. After trying out for a while, I realized that I need to
enable "New Resource" permission in order for me to be able to open global
template. I could not find any information regarding this matter.

Hi godrid,

well you have answered your own question Somethimes you will have to try
out things in order to discover its functionality. There is good
documentation on the Microsoft site in regards to Project Server 2003, you
may want to check this out.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your reply. Actually there is a problem with this issue as I do
not want the appsadmin group to be granted with new resource permission as it
is being managed by a security admin group. Is there a workaround for my
configuration?

Hi Godrid,

I dont believe that you are able to achieve this. Users either have admin
resource rights or they dont.
