cannot open macros since I updated office 2000

Since I updated my wonderful microsoft product, I can no longer open my
billing invoices. the error message is "this workbook contains a type of
macro (excel version 4) that cannot be opened or signed. Therefore, this
wookbook cannot be opened under High Security Level.

I am a business man that would really like to get on with my
billing......can anyone help?

thank you Myrna...I had a good Idea that I needed to reduce the security setting, but had no idea that it would be located within the excel program itself....I was looking for some overall office or windows security setting...since I had never encountered that before....I have since unistalled/reinstalled office 2000..but now I know where to look and can try the update (maybe) again with the reduced setting...thanks
