Cannot open .msg attachment a second time.

I have a saved .msg attachment in a task. I'm not able to open the
attachment a second time. I receive the Operation failed message. Using
Outlook 2003 SP3.
I've run the detect & repair from Outlook. Uninstalled/reinstalled Office.
Deleted the temp file in the OLK?? folder.

Does anybody have any ideas.
