cannot open my word document

hi!
i am trying to open my word document that i saved
yesterday. saved in on hard disk, floppy and sent it to my
yahoo account trying to open either of the files lets
following message pop up:

the document name or path is not valid. try these
suggestions.
* check the file permissions for the document or drive
* use the file open dialog box to locate the document.

i am using word/ office 2000 version 9.0.3822

i know the info is there because firstly it still has the
same amount of kb as before and secondly i can view the
first page of my thesis from my yahoo-account. any ideas
how i can actually open this file - is quite important
since it consist of my masterthesis that has to be handed
in in a weeks time...

solved it myself:
try sending it to someone who has or try using a computer
with a different office version to yours. i just sent the
file to our computer "expert". all he did was open the
it... without any problems just because he has a different
version, at least that was his explanation. hope this is
of help to someone else as well.
