Cannot open or delete autorecover file

Hy, I have a terminal server with MS Office 2003 installed, and for
every user, every 2nd time Word is launched, the autorecover pane
comes up saying that "Document1" has been recovered. When i try to
delete this file it gives me an error stating that it cannot delete.
I've changed the path of where autorecover is stored, and reinstalling
office is not an option as I would have to reconfigure every user's
Outlook profile.

Any help?

Have the all got their own normal.dot or are they sharing a common
normal.dot on the server?

It's just a typical install of Office 2003, installed on the Terminal
Server, so I would assume that they are all using the same normal.dot.
How would I check? I didn't set this machine up so I dont know exactly
how it was configured.

So you are running Terminal Services and the users all log in and launch
Word from the TS server. In which case they share the common normal.dot from
the TS server. I think that possibly this is a permissions problem and that
the users don't have sufficient access to delete temp files from the various
locations on the server. I'm not over familiar with running from TS, so I'll
ask one of our TS experts if they have an idea what area you need to check.

Great, thanks. This is an issue that has been burdening our users for
months, on two different TS.
