What version of Outlook? Is it asking for a password to your Outlook Data
File (.PST) or for an e-mail account password?
Frankly, I haven't a clue to what as to what it wants. My Outlook is a part
of the Office 2003 suite. Dell was to install this for me, but as part of a
total fiasco in my transactions with them, they forgot to do so and I wound
up doing it myself with the
reinstall cds they finally sent me. Being a neophyte insofar as computers
is concerned, and have received dire warnings about using Outlook, I pretty
much ignored it. Time has passed, and while I still don't have much of a
clue, I decided to check it out: Malnly because every now and then I'd get a
response, when trying to access some site, titled "Connect to Jack." This
thing had my MSN email address in the top slot, and a place to enter my
password. I typed in every password I've ever used in my life. Nothing
happened. Outlook sits in the background stating that it has a welcoming
message for me. Sooner or later it would seem to get tired of waiting,
inform me that it couldn't connect, and everything vanishes. All the other
programs in Office are fine (I think). I have removed and reloaded Office.
This accomplished nothing.
