Cannot open Outlook

Have unistalled & installed Office XP Pro a number of times and while all the
other programs function normally, Outlook refuses to open.

Dialog box pops up and says: "Unable to open your default email folders.
Could not open the item. Try again." Then I get another message: "Would you
like to open your default system folder instead?"

Have installed SP3 and all relevant updates. Frustrated!
