cannot open projects or activities/proposals in project server 200

Hi,
Can any one help me solve my problem. I have been struggling over a week to
get this sorted. I have MOSS 2007 with SP2 and project server 2007 on the
same machine . My problem is defined as below.
When i open the project center i can see all projects. But when i try to
edit it by opening in project professional it displays the following error:

"The selected projects could not be opened in project professional 2007.
This is probably because you either do not have permissions to open these
projects or because they have been deleted."

If i try to edit a Activity/Proposal i get the following error:
"The selected Activity/Proposal could not be opened. This is probably
because you either do not have permissions to open these projects or because
they have been deleted."

i have checked all permissions, they are ok.

if i open project professional to view projects. i donot see any projects

can anybody help.

If you run the View Effective Rights tool, what does it say?

Andrew, I was able to solve the problem last night. It was a rights issue.
