cannot open/view inc fax in MICRO Ofc Docu Imaging

on several incoming faxes, I keep receiving an error message:
one or more pages in this file cannot be viewed in Microsoft Office Document
Imaging......what's this? and why all of a sudden....the faxes are from
regular users and was being accepted as recent as 7/1/2006...

Hi R.C.,

Have any Windows or Office or 3rd party product updates been installed since the date you list?

Are the TIF files used by the incoming faxes set to higher than 24bit resolution?
