Cannot open Word 2002 file

I am also experiencing a problem with a Word 2002 document I created and
saved, but cannot reopen. I get the "The document name or path is not valid"
message. The document is graphic-intensive and took a long time to format.
I am running XP Professional on this machine, with Norton AntiVirus, but the
Office plug-in is not enabled and I have tried the dll file fix. I've read
through loads of threads and have tried nearly all the "fixes" suggested. I
have reregistered Word and that did not work. I can only seem to recover the
raw text for this file. I am at my wits' end! Any additional suggestions?

You certainly seem to have done everything I would have been prepared to
suggest. Perhaps someone else will have some ideas.

Not sure if these will help, but see:

document management program".

Thanks Suzanne. I am trying to obtain the "hotfix" from Microsft. I paid my
$35; hopefully, they'll have something to help me.

Note that you should not have to pay for a hotfix if MS determines that you
need it (and provided you don't ask questions about anything else).
