Cannot Open Word Doc

Hello,

Created a document with Word 2002 (10.6835.6830) sp3 and saved it on my
Desktop.

Tried opening it about an hour later and I get the following message:

The document name or path is not valid.
Try one or more of the following:

• Check the path to make sure it was typed correctly.
• On the File menu, click Open. Search for the file using this dialog box.

Did not have to check path because the document is on my Desktop and the
second option fail too.

Any other ideas?
