Cannot open Word Docs

Hi
The scenario: if I click on a word Document to open it from it's stored
folder etc, it opens Word, but no file appears.
This happens with all word files. (.doc)
If I then go to File, Open and go to the stored document, it will open as
normal.

Can anyone help please as this a Office Machine and is giving the Secretary
a severe headache!

Hi Barry,

It sounds like your file associations need to be recreated. Go to
Start/Run and run:

winword /a

Note the space before the forward slash.
