cannot open word

Simply write down the name of the .dll file that is
missing. Go to another computer, preferably one that has
the same version of windows/office installed, & copy that
file to some transportable media. Take this media to
your computer and copy the file into the following
diretories:
c:\windows\system32
c:\windows\system
* Note the c:\windows directory name varies on your
version of windows *
Reboot the machine and run Word again.

Often what it's asking for, though, is something you don't need, being
requested by some defunct add-in in Word's Startup folder.
